Abstract:

O presente artigo tem como objetivo avaliar o papel da pandemia de COVID-19 na imprensa esportiva, tendo como base o retorno da primeira grande liga a retomar com o esporte após a paralisação - a Bundesliga, na Alemanha. Com o auxílio da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional (HALLIDAY; MATTHIESSEN, 2014), sobretudo do Sistema de Transitividade, procuramos entender como as vozes dos repórteres avaliaram os efeitos do coronavírus sobre as experiências de mundo em questão. Baseados no fato de que as hard news nunca são neutras, compreendemos que, nas notícias analisadas, a pandemia age como uma entidade oculta que leva à realização de processos por outros atores.

This paper aims to assess the role of the COVID-19 pandemic in the sports media, based on the return of the first major league to resume sport after the stoppage - the Bundesliga, in Germany. With the help of Systemic-Functional Linguistics (HALLIDAY; MATTHIESSEN, 2014), especially from the Transitivity System, we try to understand how the reporters' voices evaluated the effects of the Coronavirus on the world experiences in question. Based on the fact that hard news are never neutral, we understand that, in the analyzed news, the pandemic acts as a hidden entity that leads to the realization of processes by other actors.
