Abstract:

Alternative AbstractLanguage

Development of several photometric and fluorescence-based assays for the screening of artificial variants of the Fructose-6-phosphate aldolase towards non-natural reactions. The project included the establishment of a modular synthesis for the substrates as well as planning point mutations to improve the enzyme’s activity and developing new assay concepts.

Development of a modular synthesis of structurally related enantio-pure chirale amines from corresponding alcohols created by Grignard-addition. The amines, bearing a methoxinaphthyl-based fluorophore, were later to be used as assay substrates for screening of w-transaminases.
