Importing items

In addition to entering metadata manually, you also have the option of importing it semi-automatically. Currently, only individual data records can be imported into TUprints. If you would like to import a file with more than one data record into the system, please contact the editorial team at dpub@tu-darmstadt.de.

Various filters are available for importing individual data records.

Import via DOI, Pubmed and Web of Science

  1. After logging in, click on the “Manage publication” button. alt text

  2. The system will automatically redirect you to your workspace, where you can start an import by clicking the “Import metadata” button: alt text

  3. Select the filter that suits you best: alt text

  4. Enter the DOI, Pubmed ID or Web of Science ID to be imported in the search slot and start the search. The system will return suitable search results: alt text

  6. By clicking on “Import data”, the metadata displayed in the preview is transferred to the input screen. Adjustments and enhancements to the metadata can then be made in the input mask.

Import via BibTEX

If you have a data record in BibTEX format, you can enter it into the system as follows:

  1. After logging in, click on the “Manage publications” button.

  2. The system will automatically redirect you to your workspace, where you can create a data record using the “New submission” button after you have selected the appropriate collection (first publication/second publication): alt text

  3. You can add your BibTEX file in the upload window (using drag-and-drop or searching in the explorer): alt text

  4. The metadata contained in the file is automatically loaded into the corresponding fields of the input screen. Adjustments and enrichments to the metadata can then be made in the input screen.
