How Vague Are International Agreements?
Introducing a Method for Systematic Comparison |
Language: |
English |
Abstract: |
This dissertation aims to develop a systematic method for the comparison of vagueness in international agreements. To this end, it first illustrates why such a tool is needed by drawing on arguments made in the fields of International Relations and International Law. The method itself is developed building on the results of a survey conducted among experts in international law. After an in-depth description of the measuring tool and its conception, the method is then applied to the UNFCCC and NPT regimes. |

| German |
