Abstract:

Alternative Abstract:
Alternative AbstractLanguage

NHC-metal complexes are needed for different catalytic reactions. The NHC-metal complexes presented in the first part are sterically very demanding. This results in a high activity for gold-catalyzed hydrogenation of alkynes to the corresponding ketones. The second shows how carbon monoxide can be made "smelling" with the help of NHC-iridium complexes.
