Abstract:

A homogeneous catalyst was marked with two Ferrocenylgroups, which determine its solubility behavior by reversible switching between neutral and dicationic conditions. With the help of this method it is easy to switch between the on and off-state of the Olefinmetathese-catalyst. Beyond that the efficient separation from catalyst and products as well as a reuse of the catalyst are possible.
