Abstract:

The modelization by concentrated/distributed parameters is most commonly used for the simulation of entire hydraulic systems. At the present time, in the field of oilhydraulic the modelization by concentrated parameters predominates. In this dissertation it could demonstrated that oilhydraulic configurations of practical relevance do exist for which simulations on the basis of the above mentioned modelization don’t provide usable results. This occurs if the interaction of cavitation in a component with the other parts of the system influences in a not negligible manner the global dynamic behaviour of the system. Due to this facts four main questions arose in respect to the simulation of entire oilhydraulic systems for practical purposes. The aim of this dissertation was to answer these questions: 1. Which numerical method can describe with high precision the interactions of hydraulic components in the case without cavitation? 2. Which measuring technique can serve to measure the dynamic volume flow rate in a reliable and precise way (as a basis to treat the problems presented above)? 3. By which physical model can the complex phenomenon of cavitation be represented when using the numerical tool of CFD to get results of the calculation which describe with sufficient exactness the reality? 4. Which general strategy can be used to carry out coupled computations by two fundamentally different numerical methods (concentrated/distributed parameters in combination with CFD) ?
