Abstract:

The present work concerns multipoint description of turbulence in terms of the probability density functions (pdf's) and the characteristic Hopf functional. Lie symmetries of infinite systems of equations for the pdf's and the Hopf functional equation are discussed. Based on symmetries, invariant solutions for turbulence statistics are calculated.
