In this work the production of K+ mesons in central heavy ion collisions is investigated as function of the system size at a beam energy of 1.5 AGeV. The systems used for this study are Ca+Ca, Ru+Ru and Au+Au. The aim is to learn more on the modification of hadron properties in nucelar medium due to an eventual restoration of the chiral symmetry. Indeed, theoretical calculations predict an increase of K+ mass with nuclear density which would lead to a decrease of their production probability. Data are compared to the predictions of the RBUU und IQDM models and seem to favor the version of the calculation including in-medium effects.
