VOM FUNDUS ZUM KORPUS: Reddit als Medium und digitale Sprachressource

Der Beitrag untersucht die Nutzung von Reddit als Medium und digitale Sprachressource im Kontext von DaF/DaZ und stellt verschiedene Ansätze zur Nutzung von Reddit als Korpus vor. Anhand einer Fallstudie, die sprachliche Variationen und Diskurspraktiken in den deutschsprachigen Subreddits r/Austria und r/de vergleicht, werden thematische und sprachliche Unterschiede herausgearbeitet und hinsichtlich ihrer Implikationen für den DaF/DaZ-Unterricht diskutiert. Insgesamt unterstreicht der Beitrag die Bedeutung einer systematischen Analyse und didaktischen Aufbereitung der auf Reddit verfügbaren sprachlichen Ressourcen, um das Verständnis für sprachliche Variation und kulturelle Unterschiede im digitalen Zeitalter zu fördern.

This paper explores the use of Reddit as a medium and digital language resource in the context of DaF/DaZ and outlines different approaches to the use of Reddit as a corpus. Based on a case study comparing linguistic variations and discourse practices in the German-language subreddits r/Austria and r/de, thematic and linguistic differences are highlighted and discussed with regard to their implications for DaF/DaZ teaching. Overall, the article underlines the importance of a systematic analysis and didactic elaboration of the linguistic resources available on Reddit in order to promote the understanding of linguistic variation and cultural differences in the digital age.
