Hydrotalcite als neuartige Treibmittel für Polyethylenschäume

Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurde ein Treibmittelsystem bestehend aus Calciumhydrotalcit und Polymaleinsäureanhydrid-co-styrol entwickelt, welches in LLDPE zu einer Dichtereduktion von 30% führt. Der hergestellte Schaum weist bei einer engen Zellgrößenverteilung Zellen kleiner als 50 µm auf. Dabei wirkt das Calciumhydrotalcit als kombiniertes Treib- und Nukleierungsmittel. Als Treibgas bei der Schaumextrusion wird Wasser verwendet.

Within the scope of this work, a blowing agent system consisting of calcium hydrotalcite and Poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) was developed, which leads to a density reduction of 30% in LLDPE. The produced foam shows cells smaller than 50 µm with a narrow cell size distribution. The calcium hydrotalcite acts as a combined propellant and nucleating agent. Water is used as propellant gas in foam extrusion.
