4. Uploading files

  1. Log in to TUprints. After logging in, the “Register now” button changes to “Publish now”. After clicking on the button, you have 2 options for creating an entry:
    1. Entering metadata manually
      1. An entry can be created manually using the “Add new entry” button.
      2. After selecting the appropriate collection, the input mask opens, which you can now fill in with the metadata.
    2. Importing a metadata file
      1. If you have an importable metadata file, you can add it using the “Import new entry” button. Possible import formats are currently: DOI, ORCID, Pubmed and Web of Science.
      2. Select the filter that suits you, enter the ORCID, DOI or Pubmed or WoS ID and click on the search button.
      3. The matching search results will now be displayed. Click on the cloud symbol to load the metadata preview.
      4. If this is the right match, you can accept the metadata via “Start input”.
      5. After selecting the appropriate collection, the input mask opens with the metadata matching the hit.
  2. To make your publication easier to find on the Internet, you have the option of including citation links in your document. Ideally, do this before you add the document. The identifiers reserved for this entry (DOI, URL, URN) can be found in the “Citation links” block.
  3. To add a document, use the drag-and-drop menu at the top of the entry. You can simply drag files into the field provided. Alternatively, you can call up your file manager via “Search”.
  4. As soon as you have uploaded a file, it will appear in the “Uploaded files” section.
  5. Specify a license for your submission. If individual files have different licenses, you can change these for each file in the “Uploaded files” block.
  6. Now enter the metadata. Mandatory fields are marked with *. You can save your entries at any time and continue the submission later.
  7. By clicking the “Submit entry” button, the entry will be forwarded to the editorial team and you will receive a confirmation by email. The submission will be checked by the editorial team.
  8. If adjustments are necessary, the editorial team will contact you. Otherwise the submission will be published by the editorial team. You will receive another confirmation by e-mail.
