About tuprints

Mission

As a permanent service of TU Darmstadt, tuprints wants to play a central role in the universitys publishing landscape. Cooperation with authors and departments inside TU, combining recent information technologies with knowhow of the library scene, we seek to offer a secure and user-centered publishing platform, which aims at augmenting the visibility of TU Darmstadt through internet-based publication of scholarly and administrative literature.

We want to support scholarly communication by helping authors to publish their works according to their objectives and in compliance with copyright regulations, but also by embedding our publication service transparently into Open Access-initiatives and providing broad usage possiblities in a barrier free way.

Profile

• As a document- and publishing service, tuprints will provide for publication, administration, archiving, finding and using of electronic scholarly documents.
• tuprints primarily cares for scholarly content. Administrative documents, scientic data(-sets) or publications with regional aspects can be added after being checked and assured by the ULB as hosting institution.
• tuprints is run and by the Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek as its host, to which all questions and contact should be directed. Coaching and training of authors should be conducted by faculties and their subject departments.
