Abstract:

Alternative AbstractLanguage

In this thesis, a synthesis concept was developed, with which it is possible to produce polymers with long-term stable nonlinear-optical effects. For this purpose, Sonogashira coupling based on AA/BB polycondensation was used to produce and characterize a donor-acceptor-substituted poly-o-phenylenethinylene. To exploit NLO effects, the corresponding chromophores must be molecular disperely dissolved in a host polymer, such as PMMA and polarized in an electric field. Since the synthesized polymer is not soluble in PMMA, a concept was developed to generate thermodynamic compatibility by solubility mediating oligo-MMA chains.
