Abstract:

Organic chemistry without solid-phase synthesis nowadays would not be imaginable. One reason therefore, is it application in formation of substance libraries within the scope of combinatorial chemistry. Additionally, polymer-supported reagents proved to be useful in organic synthesis due to their easy separation. However, specially the area of polymer-supported chiral auxiliaries has hardly been noticed yet, although these auxiliaries lead to asymmetric synthesis, which are distinguished by easy recycling of the reagents. In this work chiral hydrazines have been built up on Merrifield resin as analogues to the Enders reagent SAMP / RAMP. These could not only be applied successfully to the asymmetric α-alkylation of hydrazones but also to the asymmetric 1,2-addition of the CN-double bond.
