Abstract:

The increasing integration of aspects of the inner and outer air flow in the architectural design and the optimization of buildings requires a fundamental and clear understanding of phenomenons of the airflow. Almost any theoretical approach in the research field of fluid dynamics is focusing on the development of new numerical solutions. The support of intuitive comprehension or a creativ explanation with the subject current is thereby often neglected. This deficit was the motivation for the following thesis. Apart from a detailed summary of the main fluid dynamic basics and the theoretical sources the dynamic Stabwerkmodell is developed and defined. Based on the ideas of Weischede and Schlaich describing the flow of forces using the method of Stabwerkmodelle, in the following thesis the method is expanded for general dynamic questions in order to broaden it for a characteristical description of the airflow around a structure.
