Abstract:

Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit werden Computer-Vision Methoden zur Lösung der Augmented-Reality Kalibrierungs- und Trackingprobleme entwickelt. Insbesondere wurden (1) neben der ``structure and motion'' Methode, die theoretischen Grundlagen eines neuen Verfahrens "Calibration propagation" als auch ihre praktische Umsetzung erarbeitet, (2) optische Lösungen zum Echtzeit-Tracking mit Hilfe von schwarz-weißen sowie farbigen Markern ermöglicht und (3) ein neues Verfahren zum markerlosen Tracking konzipiert und implementiert.

In this thesis, computer-vision-based solutions to the calibration and tracking problem of augmented reality are presented. In particular, (1) beside structure and motion methods, the theoretical bases as well as the practical implementation of a new approach called "calibration propagation" have been developed, (2) optical solution for real-time tracking with black and white as well as coloured markers and finally (3) a new approach to real-time tracking without markers basing on image registration have been designed and implemented.
