Abstract:

Alternative AbstractLanguage

In this work the stimuli responsive behavior of poly-y-p-biphenylmethyl-L-glutamate (PBPMLG) was investigated. This work can be separated in three different projects. In project A the polymer was deuterated at different positions to investigate its thermoresponsive behavior via 2H NMR spectroscopy. In project B spacer groups were introduced into the side chain to investigate the influence of different distances between helix and biphenyl groups. In project C a rotational barrier was introduced via substitution of the biphenyl function and the implications on the thermoresponsive behavior was investigated.
