Abstract:

Alternative AbstractLanguage

This thesis presents the potential recovery of valuable materials from industrial processing streams of the chitin and consumer goods production using membrane filtration in a Vietnamese industrial park. This work focuses on filtration perfor-mances under consideration of local conditions as well as on the entire resource-efficient solution developed for the local companies. In this thesis, two case studies were carried out: the recovery of proteins from the discharged alkaline processing stream of an industrial chitin manufacturing unit (case study 1) and the recovery of surfactants and raw products from the manufacture of textile and personal care products (case study 2). Individual inventories and measurement campaigns of inves-tigated partial streams play an important part to assess the recovery potential.
